Continental joins SAE 2015 World Congress partners

SAE International, one of the world's premier standards organizations for engineering, will be holding its 2015 World Congress & Exhibition at the Cobo Center in Detroit on April 21–23. Among the event's sponsors are some leading automakers, the latest of which to announce its participation has been German components manufacturer Continental AG. Continental will serve as the Tier One Strategic Partner as one of four OEM industry leaders.

The Executive Leader will be Honda, with both Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the Ford Motor Company also among the OEM sponsors. The theme of this year's congress is "Leading Mobility Innovation," and Continental recently had three products named as finalists for Automotive News' PACE Awards. Company executive Helmut Matschi will be delivering the keynote speech for the third day's morning session.

"As Honda's Tier One Strategic Partner, our goal is to help support SAE to inspire the industry and motivate engineers, professionals and students to shape the future of mobility," said Continental North America CEO Samir Salman.
