Greening Testing Laboratories are equipped to run a wide variety of brake, suspension, transmission, vibration and wheel tests. Our facilities have received certification for meeting ISO/IEC 17025 general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. We are also recognized by many of the world’s leading standards organizations, including the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), the Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency (AMECA) and the Performance Review Institute (PRI), as well as General Motors.
We are qualified to perform brake tests to the specifications of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), ASTM International, the European Economic Community (EEC), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO), SAE International and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE).
Greening Testing Laboratories is the only facility that carries out Dual Dynamometer Differential Effectiveness Analysis (D³EA®) testing to ensure that brakes meet FMVSS requirements, and we are also certified to test brake pads and rotors for police and public service organizations. Our friction material testing meets the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and SAE International, as well as other smaller organizations.
Among our custom-built equipment, we have:
- An ISO and SAE-certified compressibility test machine.
- Dynamometers for noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) testing, together with our Sound_Works™ noise analyzing software.
- An on-vehicle brake data acquisition system.
- A suspension spring tester.
- An SAE #2 machine for auto transmission fluid and component testing and wet friction testing.
- A wheel disk-hub fatigue test machine.
Finally, our lab is also equipped with a Discriber-S rotor mapping station from our South Korean partners Sun Bee Instruments.
