The Greening Model 1340 Suspension Spring Test Machine is designed to evaluate automotive and trailer leaf springs. The basic model combines elements of load frame, fixturing, cylinder, and a pneumatic over hydraulic actuator to conduct leaf spring compression tests. The stand can be free standing or secured to the floor.
A GAI control computer and software system manage force and displacement. The GAI control logs and displays test data on the screen and can export it to a printer. The computer and monitor can be located on an adjacent bench or desk or mounted on a wall support and suspension arm.
Instrumentation is provided to acquire and monitor deflection and load data. The system is configurable for load, displacement, and cycle limits to provide automatic shutdown capability for out-of-tolerance conditions or part failures. Results are stored in an ASCII file which can be imported into an Excel spreadsheet for post-test processing.
