Haldex hires new high-level employees

Proprietary commercial vehicle solutions provider Haldex has just announced two new high-level hires. Åke Bengtsson will be filling the role of Chief Financial Officer, and Lena Nodin has received a promotion to serve as Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

Lena was first recruited to Haldex as the company's Vice President of Talent Management back in 2014. In that time, she implemented a rapid-fire series of improvements within the realms of company leadership, employee development, employer branding, and recruitment.

Before joining Haldex, Lena was the Head of CoE Talent Management at Baxter-Gambro Renal and Vice President of Global Learning and Development at Gambro AB. She was responsible for Grambro's Human Resources functions in Sweden, and eventually served as an HR Business Partner for the company's R&D functions.

Before Gambro, Lena ran Human Resources at Ericsson Mobile Platforms. She's studied Business Administration as well as Organization and Leadership Development at Sweden's Stockholm University.

Speaking on the subject of her accomplishments, Bo Annvik, Haldex' President and CEO said he felt that "Lena has gone from strength to strength and we feel that she now is ready to take on the Human Resource responsibility for all of Haldex. Lena has the right attitude and experience to lead the way towards a culture based on high performing teams where leadership development will be one of our important focus areas." He added a quick note of thanks for Pete Lazar, who held the position before Lena's promotion, and who will continue to work for Haldex for the foreseeable future.

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Lena will be a key member of Haldex' Group Management Team. She is starting her new role immediately.

Before being appointed to the position of CFO, Åke Bengtsson served as the Chief Financial Officer for Partnertech group, a global industrial partnership company that offers customized solutions for every stage of the product life cycle, starting with product development, and ending with aftermarket services.

Before his time with Partnertech, Åke held leadership positions with Cardo, Rexam and Rohm, and Haas. He holds an MBA from Copenhagen's SIMI.

Commenting on his decision to appoint Åke, Annvik stressed the broad range of financial experience the new CFO could bring to the table, as well as his experience in the manufacturing industry. Annvik believes that Åke's operations and business orientation will bring about a significant change in management and better facilitate the company's growth.

Åke is expected to begin his work as CFO before the end of the year.
