Rusty Wallace announced as keynote speaker for SAE Brake Colloquium

Former NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace was recently announced as the keynote speaker for this year's Society of Automotive Engineers' annual Brake Colloquium, set to be held between October 4 and 7 at the Charleston Area Convention Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Colloquium's mission is to cover all of the year's biggest developments in the automotive, commercial vehicle, and motorcycle industries, and will feature panel discussions, a cutting edge technical program, and world class exhibitions.

This will be the 33rd time the Brake Colloquium is held, and this time, NASCAR legend and charismatic personality Rusty Wallace will be joining in as the keynote speaker.

Wallace has won a grand total of 55 races as well as a Rookie of the Year award, was a champion of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and is widely considered one of the all-time greatest American race car drivers. When he retired back in 2005, Wallace was ranked as one of the top five money winners in the entire history of NASCAR, sporting $50 million in career earnings, and he won more races than all but seven other drivers in the history of the sport. 

Currently, he's working as a lead analyst for MRN Radio, and his heard on over 700 affiliate stations nationwide.
