Webb Wheel Products announces new president for OEM

Trucker and trailer wheel end component manufacturer Webb Wheel Products has just announced a new leader for its original equipment manufacturer business.

Following the promotion of previous OEM president Chad Plank to a position described by the company as "targeted strategic growth opportunities for Marmon Highway Technologies," Webb appointed Mike Postma to the open position.

In this new role, Postma and his team will be focusing on growing Webb Wheel's OEM business, particular for its trailer products. Webb is about to finish building additional capacity into its Tell City, IN manufacturing plant, and is hoping Postma's business experience will be able to benefit from the growth in production.

Postma first started his career at Marmon Highway Technologies, the company that owns Webb Wheel Products, in 2006, working then as an assistant controller before being promoted to a group controller.

In 2012, he was promoted again into the role for president for Marmon-Herrington's aftermarket business unit. He holds a BA in accounting from Hope College and an MBA from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Jason Gerding, group president MHT Brake and Wheel Ends said of the promotion that he is "confident the team led by Mike will take advantage of the production upgrades we have added to fully support current customer requirements and at the same time pursue and land new business," adding that "Mike is a dynamic individual with great talents that will serve him well in his new endeavor. We are pleased to welcome him to his new role."
